Jellyfish Squad, by Merlina
Describe how you made this work of art and what you learned through the process.
I started this project by making a siimple colored sketch to help me visualize how the final one will look like. then i moved on to the watercolour paper.
i learned a lot of new watercolour techniques. i really enjoyed doing this one, and i'd love to learn and practice more watercolour. i also learned about pen and ink tenchniques, such as hatching, cross hatching, scribbling, and stippling.
for this drawing, i mostly used the wet on wet technique and gradient wash. i also used dry brush technique for the tiny details. then i added highlights using a white gelpen. we're not supposed to use any other tools aside from blank pens and watercolour, but i really love adding highlights. i just think that white highlights make things more beautiful and somewhat alive.
i still need to practice more with watercolour to make better results. i wish i could color the sea background better and added more depth to it. i was afraid that if i layered more color to the background, the color would be too similar to the main subjects and thus the color contrast would be really bad. this is far from good, but i'm actually satisfied with this piece XD

Wolf in the Jungle, by Jaeha
Describe how you made this work of art and what you learned through the process. First I drew a rough sketch of my wolf which was very rushed and had not much time to focus on details. Next I drew the outline and colored in the darkest parts which are the nose, mouth, and parts of the fur. Then I painted in the rest with watercolor. I used techniques like dry brush and dry on wash to try to make my fur look good.
This was a totally new experience from Acrylic paint from last year. In some parts I think looks better than others. There were places I could definitely done better, but with what's happening in the world right now it hasn't been easy. The techniques I learned from the teacher definitely had a great impact on my drawing because my final artwork looks so much better than the sketch.

Whale under the Sea, by HuiSo
First, I researched about whales about their look and colors. Second, I started scatching on A5 paper and made an example for the final one. Third, I started to draw on my final paper similar to my first drawing. Fourth, I started to pain using water colors; blue, white, black, light blue. Fifth, I mixed those colors to form a color that fits on my drawing. Sixth, I painted my drawing and used water over my painting to make a gradiant.
During the the process of making this artwork, I definately learned how to color using watercolors. I learned lots of new skills using watercolors. For an example, in this project I leaned how to make an gradiant and using water on the watercolor. I also learned when I should put water or paint over the paper and the watercolor. Those ways of coloring thought me to give different texture and colors on my paper.

Unreachable Delusion by Herschel
In the last painting I used the oil pastel, the color is not very uniform, unchanged, and a bit messy. This time we use watercolor, which is more moist, smooth, crystal clear, and lively. But in order to make the painting more rich and three-dimensional, we left a black and white border around, but the main object broke through the edge again, so that the two parts are combined together, making the painting more layered. I like this idea very much.
The content of my painting this time is that a handsome white horse fell in love with a gorgeous, fantasy, and emptiness unicorn under the influence of Cupid in the grass, forest, and flowers in spring. I think there is surprise, curiosity, and long love in the eyes of the white horse, he had a crush on her. Unfortunately, unicorns do not exist,It is impossible for Cupid to stick a sword on a unicorn of nothingness. . Everything is just the imagination of the white horse. The white horse didn't face what he loved, but just looked back Affectionate, but seeing its horseshoes, he didn't mean to stop. It still has to move on and run towards its dream.
During the process I foundnd that the drawing by water color is not that hard, but if we want to make it fantastic and perfect, their are tons of skills allow us to improve. Which I didn't really use any skills, can be my weakness on this project. During process two - finish drawing and coloring, it seems little bit until done, but it is not. the drawing looks flat, so Mrs. Christain ask me to add more value change, light and shawdou. After i did it, both good and bad change show our. Some part it actrully become mroe three-domotional , but some other part I feel it become worse because I am not familar with shadows and can't contral the water coler will which need to study and practice more.
